Strawberry Lemonade is a sativa dominant hybrid strain whose exact genetics are unknown, but are thought to be Lemon OG X Strawberry Cough. Although this bud is best known for winning Best Sativa Concentrate at the 2015 High Times’ Cannabis Cup in Denver, it is most loved for its flavour! Its taste is said to be just like a glass of sweetened strawberry lemonade! The aroma is just as delicious, with a sweet lemon bouquet that has a fresh earthy berry hint as the nugs are broken apart and burned. Strawberry Lemonade buds have small round dense pebble-shaped forest green nugs with dark olive green leaves, fiery orange hairs, and a frosty fine layer of crystal white trichomes. The Strawberry Lemonade high is said to be perfect for a lazy day at home, whether it’s lying on the couch and watching TV or hanging out by the pool. The high starts with a slightly energizing uplifted effect that offers a mild sense of alertness that becomes hazy at times. Bag appeal = nicely manicured buds that are semi-fluffy but more so dense and are just to say sticky, perfect texture. Forest green nugs are highlighted very nicely with some silver in the right light as well as loads of red and pink pistils and a layer of frosty white trichomes.
Smell/Taste/Burn = the smell out of the bag is just pure Lemony Pine, just like the Super Lemon Haze I have here. No Strawberry here, just loud lemon! The taste is a bit hard to describe and not like the smell so much. You can definitely taste the lemon and maybe even a very faint strawberry taste or something similar but again it’s very faint and hard to taste. This is one you would have to taste for yourself, it’s not my favorite taste, but it’s not bad at all. Joints rolled in raw papers burn great and to a salt and pepper ash and have a cough that’s hard to fight back.
High = this is one of those sativas that’s perfect for those not looking for the extreme energy boost but still a nice heady high. It’s very relaxing but not too much that you cant do things if you need to. Great for pain and days when you need to be alert and focused enough but not rushing full of energy like a pure sativa smoke. I enjoy these types of sativas on certain days and like to keep them on hand also. Very enjoyable smoke.
Overall = Quality 7/10. Value 9/10
